A Participant’s Guide to DoGood

How IT professionals like you shape smarter tech decisions—and get rewarded for it

At DoGood, we work with a network of IT leaders who share insights on their current priorities and, when interested, take meetings with solution providers that align. It’s completely optional, always on your terms, and designed to respect your time and expertise.

This guide answers common questions about how it works, why companies use it, and what you can expect.

What is DoGood?

DoGood is a platform where experienced IT professionals share input on real-world initiatives and, if they choose, take meetings with software vendors whose offerings align with those initiatives.

Our members come from enterprise IT teams across industries—CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, directors, and architects who are actively solving tough problems and evaluating solutions.

We partner with companies that want to learn from people like you—whether through short surveys or direct 1:1 conversations. In return, you get rewarded for your time, and help influence decisions that shape the tech landscape.

Why am I being asked to participate?

You were likely invited because you’re a decision-maker or influencer within your IT organization. Your experience gives you a unique perspective that vendors and researchers value—especially when trying to understand pain points, buying timelines, or areas of opportunity.

Participating helps them avoid generic sales outreach and focus on what actually matters to professionals in the field.

What’s the commitment?

It’s entirely up to you. We’ll periodically invite you to:

  • Complete short surveys (usually 3–7 minutes)

  • Take 1:1 meetings with vetted solution providers

  • Join small roundtable discussions with peers

Each activity comes with a clear time estimate and reward. You can opt in or out at any time, with no obligation to continue.

What do I get in return?

You earn points for each completed activity. These points can be redeemed for:

  • Gift cards (Amazon, Visa, etc.)

  • Charitable donations

  • Popular tech items (like Apple Watches or AirPods)

  • Exclusive giveaways and experiences

We’ll show you the reward value for each activity upfront—no guesswork or fine print.

Are the meetings sales calls?

They can be—but they’re not cold sales pitches.

Every meeting request is based on something you’ve shared—like a current project, challenge, or area of interest. That means vendors are coming in with context, not guessing.

You’ll always know who’s requesting the meeting and why. If it feels relevant, you accept. If not, you skip it.

Most members describe these meetings as early-stage evaluations—a chance to learn what’s out there and share your perspective. You’re under no pressure to move forward unless it’s a fit.

Is my data private?

Yes. We only share the information you explicitly agree to share. You won’t be added to sales lists or spammed. Every survey and meeting opportunity comes with full transparency about how your input will be used.

Can I stop participating?

Absolutely. You can decline any request, opt out of emails, or pause participation at any time. No hard feelings.
